HARRISBURG – Rep. David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata) today announced several municipalities in the 85th District will receive significant funding through the Commonwealth’s Multimodal Transportation Fund and Small Water and Sewer Fund. These grants, secured in collaboration with Senator Judy Ward (R-Blair/Fulton/Huntingdon/Juniata/Mifflin) and Senator Lynda Culver (R-Columbia/Luzerne/Mountour/Northumberland/Snyder), will support critical infrastructure improvements that enhance safety, accessibility, and water reliability for local communities.
“Strong local infrastructure is essential for the health, safety, and economic vitality of our region,” Rowe said. “These projects will improve roads, bridges, pedestrian access, and water systems, ensuring our communities remain strong and prepared for future growth.”

“These investments will make a tangible difference in the daily lives of residents and visitors,” Rowe added. “I’m grateful for the partnership with Sens. Ward and Schlegel-Culver in securing these funds for our region, which will help local governments save money and prevent the need for local tax increases.”
“This recent round of grant funding is a great example of how the Multimodal Transportation Fund and Small Water and Sewer grant programs can improve quality of life in rural areas,” said Ward. “These projects are much deserved and will help ensure these communities have access to a dependable transportation network and safe and effective water and sewer systems, all without placing an additional burden on their taxpayers.”
“This funding will support transportation and water infrastructure projects across the district,” Culver said. “By advancing projects that improve infrastructure and connectivity, we can support safe, reliable services that residents depend on. I value the collaboration with my House colleagues as we take the next step in this process of building a stronger Commonwealth.”
The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable transportation system is available throughout Pennsylvania. The Small Water and Sewer Fund supports projects that improve public water and sewer systems, protecting public health and supporting community growth.
